Bar 1725

About us

Historic 1725

Historic 1725 occupies a beautiful grade two listed building in the historic market square of Lancaster. We’re right next to the 6 screen Vue Cinema and within short walking distance of the train station and all City centre car parks. There are a range of hotels and bars in the vicinity.

1725 is set over three floors of bare brick, original oak beams and wood flooring, which really make this building truly unique.

On the ground floor, the main bar area, serves a selection of premium lagers, cask conditioned ales, wines from around the world, a huge selection of spirits and a large range of soft drinks and coffees. We also offer a range of tasty cocktails, so there’s sure to be something to suit everyone’s taste.
There’s a selection of seating areas and tables to choose from, including comfy sofas for relaxing with a glass of wine or a delicious locally ground Atkinson’s coffee and also tables for dining.

We also offer a fantastic outdoor seating area in the centre of historic Market Square. Here you can feel the hustle and bustle of Lancaster, while enjoying a selection of Tapas and drinks.

The second floor has many more tables for dining, with views over Market Square towards the historic museum building.

The third floor houses our delightful function room and outdoor terrace, which is separate from the main dining area and bar, so offers the privacy you need to dine, party and create your own atmosphere.
